A-1 Custom Design will design and install the perfect solution for your conference room, lobby, display area or office. Remodeling Home OfficeWhether it is for a full room of bookshelves with a sliding ladder, a luxurious home office, or a study room for the kids, A-1 Custom Design can design and build the right components for just your needs. Imagine a full wall of shelves with a sliding library ladder to hold and display your classic collection of novels or reference books. Imagine a sophisticated cherry office suite complete with credenza and conference table. Imagine anything you like, we can make it happen. Corporate Office Build OutWe utilize the space to make it as efficient as possible while creating that unique look to promote your corporate identity. We will assist you in making a lasting impression with your clients and create a truly functional work environment at the same time. If you would like a cabinet that can hide a plasma TV or a teleconferencing monitor and automatically lift it out only when needed, we can do that. With the touch of a button your television can rise out of a cabinet and store neatly away when not in use. Creating Special Study RoomIf you need a place where you can quietly study or do research, or a special room to work on your family tree, then look no further. We have designed and built several offices and study areas, and each one is unique to the individual taste and needs. We know the importance of functionality as well as the desire for beauty and elegance. When you combine them both, you get a room that is greater than the sum of its parts. Home Office Ergonomic TipsTo minimize neck strain, the monitor always should be centered in front of you. Place it about an arm length away, with the top of the screen ideally located on a slight downward angle from your eyes. The monitor should be perpendicular to a window to minimize glare. A monitor arm delivers both practical and ergonomic benefits. It allows you to move the screen quickly for easy access to the desktop, which is especially useful in tight spaces. To prevent neck pain and eyestrain, it is also important to place the document holder in front of the monitor. A chair is a major part of your office. The wrong one will contribute to poor health and low productivity. To avoid this consider the following:
Laptops can be ergonomic nightmares if used on a permanent basis in a home office. They have small monitors that strain the eyes, the keyboard and mouse also are at the wrong height when placed on a desktop. If you are working from a laptop, consider using it as a CPU in lieu of a bulky tower, and connect a separate monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Another option is a laptop stand, which will allow you to get the screen to a more comfortable height.
